This is the 8th annual seminar at Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas. CBC seeks in depth study in the Porcelain Arts by providing you with the most noted teachers available. Their names are synonymous with porcelain painting.
To register for the seminars at CBC, please fill out the application. Class assignments are made on a first come, first served basis by postmark. Students will be assigned according to ranking of preference for teachers. When a class is filled, students will be assigned their second choice and so forth. If no alternate choices are listed the applicant will be assigned to a class with an opening. Register early, in order to obtain your preference of a teacher. You will be notified promptly by mail as to your class assignment or as an alternate. If all classes are full, an alternate list will be opened. The deposit checks for alternates will be returned as no deposit is required for the alternate's list. Alternate persons will be notified by phone or e-mail if vacancies occur.
A deposit of $30 must accompany your registration form in order to hold your
place in class. Full tuition must be received by May 1, 2008 to secure
your placement. A service fee of $15 will be deducted from all refunds due to
cancellations. No refunds will be made after May 5, 2008 unless your cancellation
is filled. All refunds will be initiated after May 5, 2008. Make

Student - Four (4) Day Session includes: classes, firing & a special graduation dinner. Wednesday night - Total tuition $290.00. A thirty dollar ($30) deposit is required to sign up. Full tuition is due by May 1, 2008. Meals and lodgings are extra at local motels (shown below).
Spouse or Guest - $25 Graduation Dinner Only.
All buildings on campus are wheel chair accessible. Approximate distance from art building to cafeteria is the length of two buildings with wide concrete walkways connecting buildings. College cafeteria is available for short orders at breakfast and lunch.
Firing includes one piece per day, with minimal space available for extra
firing at $1.50 per piece.
No firing Saturday night - Be prepared to take with you a "wet" piece.
Teachers will load the kiln and inform you where to deliver your wet piece for firing.
Meals are extra except for the Graduation Dinner on Friday night.

Participants must furnish personal supplies and purchase the porcelain piece for class from the White Store. Teachers may have additional supplies in the classroom.

Coastal Bend College is located at the intersection of Business Hwy. 181 N and FM 3355 (Charco Road) in Beeville, Texas. From the Hwy. 181 bypass exit FM 3355 (Charco Road) and go west for approx. one mile. The Art building is located on the left at the top of the "hill" next to the second parking lot from the bypass.
If all classes are filled your deposit check will be returned and your name placed on the alternate's list.
