• Biography

    Ms. Christi Morgan has attended Coastal Bend College, Del Mar, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and Texas Tech University, and has been awarded her degrees in English (B.A. in 2001, M.A. in 2004) from Texas A&M University –Kingsville. Through her academic years, she has also accumulated graduate hours in Psychology and Education. She is currently ABD in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at Texas A&M-University- Kingsville.  

    Ms. Morgan has been an instructor with Coastal Bend College for twelve years. She teaches on the Alice campus. Ms. Morgan currently teaches: IRW 0311, IRW 0312, ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, NCBW 0111, NCBW 0112, and EDUC 1300. She also teaches Distance Learning, Internet, and Dual Credit courses. In past years, she has taught: ENGL 0311, ENGL 0312, RDNG 0311, RDNG 0322, ENGL 1302, ENGL 2322, and ENGL 2323.  

    Ms. Morgan has served as the Achieving the Dream Liaison for Coastal Bend College and has actively participated in Title V grants and the Gates Grant. She has been vigorously involved in the creation of Accelerating Learning Programs for English and Reading courses (condensed classes, learning community cohort) offered by the College of Preparatory Studies at Coastal Bend College. In addition to her teaching, Ms. Morgan also serves as the TSI Coordinator and a faculty adviser for Coastal Bend College. Ms. Morgan has presented at both state and national conferences and is most interested in Accelerated Learning Programs. Ms. Morgan is also very interested in Emotional Intelligence and its effects on student success.
