At Coastal Bend College, personnel from different administrative units work together towards continuously improving programs and services along with the Department of Institutional Effectiveness in hopes of fulfilling institutional level reporting requirements, research, and information preparation.
Dr. Paula Kenney-Wallace is the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at Coastal Bend College. Paula has held both teaching and administrative positions in higher education for nearly 16 years. She returned to Coastal Bend College after teaching mathematics courses at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and recognizing that her educational philosophy better aligned with the community college mission. Prior to that, Paula served as the Division Chair of Mathematics and Communications for two years and was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics for five years at Coastal Bend College. Before coming to Coastal Bend College, Paula also built the Learning Assistance Center (HOGGIE ACES) tutoring program at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from the ground up as the founding Director, and has taught developmental math courses at Del Mar College and served as an Assistant Instructor of Mathematics in the Math Learning Center. Paula completed her Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2013. Paula also has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mathematics from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Business Administration from Del Mar College. Student success in college and higher education attainment continue to be major focus areas of interest and research for Paula, since she is a first-generation college student and is the first in her family to complete a master’s and doctoral degree, helping to pave the way for her husband and her children to pursue and achieve their unique individualized aspirations and life goals.
Thelma has a Masters Degree from America InterContinental University in 2008. She started at CBC in August of 2002. Before her role as a Research Associate she was a software trainer. She has one son and one grandson.
Evelyn Cook is the Chief Programmer at Coastal Bend College.
Evelyn earned two Associate of Applied Science degrees at CBC, one in
Programming and the other in Accounting. As a CBC employee for many years, she
has served on various committees. She has also held a position on two national
board of directors for student information systems.
Rolando is a graduate of CBC with a degree in Computer Information Technology and over 10 combined years of experience in the IT field as a programmer/analyst and technology specialist. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, video games, comic books, dabbling in art, and scouring the internet for 80's music videos.
