•  Testing Policies for Internet, Distance Learning, Hybrid, and some Lecture Courses
(Any courses that will use a CBC Test Center for proctored exams)
    This includes Correspondence Exams

4/14/20 - Due to COVID-19 our testing centers are closed.   We will post and let you know when we re-open.   We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

All Examinees Should Note the Following:

Check the test schedule for your test center to see when proctoring sessions are offered.  Each center has their own schedule.

Current picture ID is required for admissions into test sessions.
Use our on-line scheduling site - click here to make your appointments.
Due to limited seating – appointments are recommended to be scheduled at least three (3) business days in advance of testing.  This allows the testing staff time to make sure that they have received the necessary exam information from your instructor.  If you walk-in without an appointment – please be aware that you will be admitted on a stand-by basis to the testing room based upon seat availability.
Instructor test schedule as per course syllabus is carefully followed.

Examiner on appropriate site should be contacted for appointment if you have trouble using our Online scheduling site.

Each test site maintains its own test schedule.  Other times may be arranged as per instructor request.

Please be aware that it is the instructor’s prerogative whether they will allow their exam to be administered off campus.  The following is only for a few select courses:  If you would like to test at a site other than Coastal Bend College, submit a request to your Internet Instructor.  Your instructor will need to have the name of the center, name of the contact person, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and address of the testing center where you would like to take your exams.  The instructor will then contact that testing center to see if they are willing to administer exams for Coastal Bend College.  If so, the instructor will then notify you and let you know their decision.
Late Arrival:  Testing Services will extend a 15 minute grace period for all pre-registered examinees.  Once this grace period has expired standby and/or walk-in examinees will be seated.

Before being allowed to test, all personal items must be left in a designated area in the testing room.  No cell phones, watches, electronics, books, notes, purses, bags, headwear, etc…. are allowed with the examinees in the testing room unless specified by the instructor.  Coastal Bend College will not be responsible for any items lost or stolen.  The personal items will be collected and stored at the owner’s risk.  No weapons (firearms, knives, tasers, etc...) are allowed in the Testing Center.

(Coastal Bend College does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability.)
