  • It's time for Coastal Bend College's Kids College 2013!

Are you ready to be a CBC kid?

Energy is at work in all we do - from the food we eat that fuels us, to the fuel from the earth, sun and wind that powers our vehicles, our houses and our technology!

Fire was civilization's first great energy invention, and wood was the main fuel for a long time.  We are able to use energy today because of scientific breakthroughs in the past.  We use energy in homes, businesses, industries, and for play, personal travel and transporting goods.  And that's just the beginning!

In Kids College 2013, we will learn how different energy sources and technologies evolve and about some of the scientists that made it all happen.  We will discover the connection between energy and the envirnoment and see what that looks like through the study of art, music, theater and science!

On the last day of Kids College 2013, CBC kids will perform a play about energy and showcase some of what they have studies over the past month.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other important persons in the lives of our CBC kids are welcome to attend and enjoy the performance!

All segments of Kids College will be led by qualified, creative instructors and supervised by the CBC Customized andContinuing Education Division.

Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided, but students should bring their own cold lunch.  At the Beeville Campus, lunches are available for purchase in the cafeteria.

Only those persons whose names are on the enrollment form may pick up kids unless previous notice has been given.  Kids not staying for afternoon program must be picked up by 1:00pm.  Those kids staying for full day or afternoon programs, must be picked up by 5:15pm.

Classes include Theme Class (Energy), Drama/Theater Arts Class, Computer Class, Art Class, Music Class, Get Up and Move! Class.  Check with Campus/Site for class schedule.
