Professor Kevin Behr has been employed by Coastal Bend since
1999. He is currently the Division
Chairperson for the Professional and Public Services and teaches Criminal
Justice, Law Enforcement, and Forensic Science.
Professor Behr holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence and is a Master Texas
Peace Officer with over 25 years of experience in law and law enforcement. His areas of expertise include Criminal
Investigation, Police Tactics, and Crime Scene Investigation and
reconstruction. By choice, he maintains
his skill and proficiency as a law enforcement officer and crime scene
specialist by working part-time as a Sergeant for the Bee County Sheriff’s
Office, bringing his advanced knowledge and aptitudes to the classroom. Professor Behr has been acknowledged for his
teaching abilities by being awarded Faculty of the Year in 2012 and the
recipient of the prestigious NISOD Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Award
of the Year for 2012.
In his off time, Professor Behr likes to hunt, engage in competition
shooting, and travel.
