• Noemi Aguilar, Assistant Dean of Workforce Programs comes to CBC with 30 plus years of experience in workforce education. Her experience includes being Coordinator and Faculty member.  She has been instrumental in implementing curriculum for the various workforce programs. Aguilar has held various positons at the college, coordinator, division chair, director and now assistant dean.  She is a board member for Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend. She is advisory committee member for education at Texas A & M University Corpus Christi and advisory committee member for Human Sciences at Texas A & M University Kingsville. 

    She has worked at Coastal Bend College for the past 24 years.  She started teaching at the Alice Site as a Child Development Instructor.  She has taught Early Development and Education courses at all 4 sites.  She is a Professional Development Specialist (PDS) for Council of Professional Recognition.   Aguilar has conducted early childhood training for Head Start and child care facilities, as well as conducted training at Texas Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.    

    Aguilar has written a grant through Children’s Learning Institute to bring in developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children which has been utilized by Early Development and Education students, and the children at the child development center.    

    Aguilar’s education includes ABD in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and degrees in Masters in Early Childhood and Master in Occupational Training and Development from Texas A&M Corpus Christi; a Bachelors Occupational Training and Development from Corpus Christi State University; and an Associates in Early Childhood from Del Mar College.
