• Quality Leadership Team Meeting

    February 3, 2012  President’s Conference Room

Present: Velma Elizalde, Ruth Cude, Amador Ramirez, Susan Smedley, Bruce Exstrom, Claire Fletcher, Glynis Strause, Donna Atkins, Patti Candia.

Chair Elizalde called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m. in the President’s Conference Room.

February 10, 2012 will be the kick-off of the QEP.  Fletcher will help with an online survey and Ramirez will also make a QEP webpage.  Focus groups with students and community will be used to complete the QEP using data to support the strategies, benchmarks, growth etc.

Ramirez reported that the new webpage has a form feature that we can use for surveys and feedbacks.

Marketing and Public Relations will be used to get the word about QEP and what we are doing the QEP and why we are doing it.  Smedley remarked that the marketing pieces need to be tailored to specific markets of the CBC communities.  This will include internal communication as well as news releases and media pieces to distribute.  Ideas were banners with QEP and the title of our project.  Branding for the QEP family of documents needs to be set up once the topic is known.

The QEP is $18,000 in the 2011-2012 budget.

Dr. Exstrom will be tying the QEP to faculty and getting their buy-in.  Donna Atkins will be the Liaison to the faculty and faculty senate.
