    Quality Leadership Team Meeting 

    December 12, 2012, 9 a.m.

    Via Video Conference Rooms on each CBC Site

     Members present on the various campuses were:  

    Dr. Twila Johnson, Chair  

    Noemi Aguilar 

    Donna Atkins  

    Dr. Patty Candia  

    Claire Fletcher 

    Lupe Ganceres 

    Kayla Jones  

    Amador Ramirez     

    The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.   

    Dr. Johnson stated that the purpose of the meeting was to choose a name for the QEP Student Success course from those nominated in the college-wide contest. The committee members reviewed the list which was presented without indicating the names of the individual submitting any of the nominations. My COUGAR course was chosen. After the name was chosen, Dr. Johnson reviewed the nominees and revealed the winner of the Kindle (donated by the foundation) as Sylvia Martinez, Bookstore Manager for the Kingsville Campus. Dr. Johnson said she would contact the appropriate individuals with regard to making the announcement of the winner and committee members agreed to keep the title and winner’s name confidential until an appropriate time/place could be set for the announcement.   

    Amador Ramirez agreed to chair the technology committee for QEP. 

    Dr. Johnson then reported on the planned trip to Amarillo December 16-18 that she, Noemi Aguilar and Donna Atkins would be making to review Amarillo College’s student success course. General discussion followed regarding the course and its implementation with no motion being offered. 

    There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be January 10, 2013.
