Mr. Carrera graduated from Victoria Jr. College and continued school at CCSU in Corpus Christi and the University of Pan Am in Edinburg.  Richard received a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Government.  He also attended several other colleges and universities while starting several businesses in Beeville, Texas.

Mr. Carrera’s love for learning was such that after receiving his degrees, he applied for a job at Coastal Bend College and began his career as a college professor.   Mr. Carrera presently teaches at the CBC Kingsville site and states that teaching is the best job he has ever had.  Working with students is indeed extremely rewarding for Mr. Carrera.
