CBC is proud to offer a developmental approach to advising with Success Coaches who specialize in providing quality advising. The CBC Success Coaches provide students with advising sessions that are personalized to meet the goals of each student. Once the student chooses their preferred degree or certificate, the Success Coach will develop a pathway plan with the student. A “pathway” is simply a plan that not only determines the sequence of courses but outlines student success strategies to help them be successful along the way.

Returning & New Students
- Please review the CBC Course Catalog & Student Handbook as this will detail all of the student policies and procedures but all give you the course descriptions of all courses. - Once you have chosen your preferred pathway, then become familiar with all of the course requirements. If you plan to transfer to a university, also review the university degree plan, so you can view which lower-division courses you can take at CBC to get ahead.
- Think of questions, that you would like to ask a CBC Success Coach prior to your visit. These questions can be about degree planning, transfer questions, career advice, community resources, etc.
