Cougar
Card
The Cougar Card is the
identification (ID) card for CBC students. Cards are free when students
register, but are subject to a $10 fee for a replacement card, if lost.
A Cougar Card offers the same privileges
available in a student ID including for admission to certain events on campus, library
resources, and to access certain college facilities. It also has the added
convenience of being a reloadable debit card.
The Cougar Card can be loaded with your
CBC financial aid refunds, and since it’s reloadable, funds can be added as
needed. The Cougar Card may be used anywhere Discover card is accepted, rest
assured that this is not a credit card and your funds are safe and FDIC
insured. Plus you can access your money through ATMs and Money Network checks!
Activating
your Cougar Card
Activating the Cougar Card After the
card is received, wait 24 hours and call 1-800-822-4283. (NOTE: You will
receive an error message if you do not wait 24 hours prior to activation.)
Students will be prompted to create a four-digit PIN number. This PIN will be
used at the ATM and to access an account online.
Use Your Cougar Card as a debit card to:
• Electronically receive your financial aid refund (unless opting to have your refund going to an existing account)
• Withdraw funds free from the ATM machines located at Beeville Campus or at any ATM in the Allpoint™Access Network
• Purchase items at merchants (off-campus) who accept MasterCard
How do I receive my refund on my Cougar Card?
You will receive a Refund Selection Kit which will arrive in a bright green envelope and contain your Personal Code.
Once you have your personal code, follow these easy steps:
1. Visit coastalbendcougarcard.com
2. Enter your unique Personal Code
3. Select how you'd like to receive your money
4. Complete your profile
If you misplaced your Personal Code or never received your green envelope, contact any of our Business Office locations. Our staff will send you an instant Personal Code to your Coastal Bend College email address.
How do I receive my refund on my Cougar card?
You must log into coastalbendcougarcard.com and accept the terms and agreements for receiving funds electronically.

PHOTO SUBMISSION FOR COUGAR ID CARDS
To
ensure that we are promoting social distancing at CBC, we have developed an online
photo submission process for Cougar IDs.
To
access the Cougar
Card Request form, you will need to log into your Microsoft Office 365
account (UN: your CBC email address & PW: Cougar ID #).
Photos
must meet the following requirements:
- Size: Roughly square, less than 6MP
total (NOTE: picture cropped to 300 x 300).
- Format: jpg or jpeg.
- The photo was taken within the last
six months to reflect your current appearance.
- The photo needs to be in color in
front of a plain white or light-blue colored background.
- Head, shoulder, and face clearly
visible and facing forward — no profile shots, sunglasses, hats, or hands.
- With a neutral facial expression and
both eyes open.
- Please dress appropriately.
- You will be notified if your photo
does not meet the requirements listed above and asks to submit another
photo.
You can pick up
your Cougar ID at the front office at any CBC Center (Alice, Kingsville or Pleasanton) or at the main campus in Beeville in the Library. When you pick up your Cougar ID at a
CBC location, you will be asked to provide a a current photo ID (Example:
passport, driver’s license, high school id) for verification.
