• Mrs. Griffin has been with Coastal Bend College for sixteen years. She began as a part-time clinical instructor in 1998. This experience encouraged her to pursue her education. In 2001 she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Training and Development and in 2003 a Master of Science in Counseling, both from Texas A & M University, Corpus Christi, Texas. 

    In 2003 she was appointed as a full-time faculty member and she has enjoyed teaching various courses.  Among her favorite are Preclinical Dental Hygiene, Community Dentistry, Clinical Dental Hygiene, and Periodontology. The opportunity to serve as a Student American Dental Hygiene Association sponsor has further enhanced her educational career.

    Mrs. Griffin has been a dental hygienist for twenty-eight years. In 1986 she received an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Bee County College, Beeville, Texas.

    As alumna of the college she recognizes the value of education at a community college level. She has been recognized as a member of Who’s Who among Educators and has presented continuing education courses for the Guadalupe Valley District Dental Society
