• Dean of Student Services & Accessibility 

     

    Dr. Kayla Devora-Jones, currently serves as the Dean of Student Services & Accessibility at Coastal Bend College where she oversees the following departments: Disability Services, Learning Resource Centers/Library, Residence Life, Student Life, Success Coaching (academic advising), Support Services (CARE Team, Tutoring), Testing Services, and TRIO programs. Additionally, Dr. Jones teaches as an adjunct instructor. 

    Dr. Jones has more than 16 years of experience working in higher education, primarily in the area of student success. She has worked with students to encourage college access, retention, completion, and transfer. She has served in various positions at Coastal Bend College such as her current role as Dean of Student Services (2020-present), the Assistant Dean of Academics (2017-2019), the Dual Enrollment Director (2013-2017), and a TRIO SSS Counselor (2010-2013), among other positions. She has previously worked at several institutions of higher education, including Texas A&M University, Houston Community College, and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, before joining CBC in 2010. Additionally, Dr. Jones has volunteered for and worked with a variety of community organizations, including Communities in Schools and Family Outreach Services, as well as her local church.
