  • Vita

    Ms. Elizabeth Larakers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Houghton College in upstate New York, as well as a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from The University of Arizona in Tucson.  She presented her paper “From Profane to Sacred:  Alice Thornton’s Account of Parturition Pain and the Seeming Subversion of Early Modern English Categories” at the 11th Annual ACMRS Conference in Tempe, Arizona in 2005.

    While in graduate school, Ms. Larakers served as an English Instructor for the University of Arizona, where she taught First Year Composition.  Since 2010 she has been teaching for Coastal Bend College.  She currently teaches ENGL 1301, 1302, 2322, and 2323 at the Alice site. 

    In her spare time, Ms. Larakers enjoys cooking delicious dishes from around the world, reading contemporary novels and old poetry, and listening to EDM.
