    1. APPLY 

    Complete the admissions application for CBC online at www.applytexas.org.

     

       1. Create an Account

       2. Select a two (2) year college search for Coastal Bend College (South Region)

       3. In 3-7 business days, call CBC's Admissions or Counseling & Advising Offices to confirm that your application has been received.

     
    2. TRANSCRIPTS
    Mail your official high school, GED, or college transcripts to CBC's Office of Admissions.

    Bring your transcripts with you to your local Counseling and Advising office and meet with an Advisor to review your next steps.
      
     
    3. TEST 

    CBC cares about your success. Before registering for classes please meet with a Counselor/Advisor to determine whether or not you will need to complete a placement test. The law requires all entering college students to be assessed for college readiness in reading, mathematics, and writing, unless the student qualifies for an exemption.

    4. FINANCIAL AID

    Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.gov. 

    Visit the CBC Office of Financial Aid to view additional information about FAFSA, Scholarships, Grants, and Student Loans. View the Steps to Apply for financial Aid. 

     
    5. BACTERIAL MENINGITIS (Students Age 21 and under) 

    Submit proof of a current bacterial meningitis vaccination or exemption record to Magnus Health (SMR) ten (10) days prior to starting class. Students will need to submit their vaccination or exemption record to Magnus Health (SMR), an electronic system for tracking and storing vaccination records.

    6. LOG INTO YOUR STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNT 
    Log into your student email to retrieve your Magnus Health account information.

    Username: Combination of your last name and last four digits of your social security number (perez1111).
    Password: CBC Student ID number, no spaces.
      
     
    7. REGISTER FOR COUGAR DAYS (New Student Orientation)  
    All new students starting classes with CBC in a Fall semester are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this orientation before beginning classes.

    8. CHECK YOUR FINANCIAL AID STATUS ON CAMPUS CONNECT
    Campus Connect is your personal student center online. Log in to check your financial aid status, register for classes, view your bill, make payment arrangements, and more.
      

    Username: Social security number (no spaces) or your CBC Student ID number (#).
    Password: Eight (8) digit birth date, no spaces (01051930).
