The Fundamentals of Nurse Aide Certificate is two
semesters long of 32 weeks. The certificate
prepares students to take the state certification exam which is required for
employment as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
Upon completion
of the Fundamentals of Nurse Aide Certificate, students will be more prepared for
other nursing programs. Upon completion
of NURA 1301 and NURA 1160 (completed in 16 weeks), students will be eligible
to take the state exam to become certified as a CNA.
