TSIA2 Proctoring Updates - please review (1/11/2021)

Students must complete TSIA2 within fourteen (14) calendar days of start.
After fourteen calendar days, a student must restart from the CRC Test, the initial test.
Best Practice - examinee should complete TSIA2 section within the same week that they start testing. If not, there is a possibility that over the weekend Accuplacer could do a major update and the student would have to start from the very beginning of the test. Therefore, remind the examinee when they start the exam that they must finish within the same week as they start.

How to enter password on student's screen when remotely testing?	Click on the "Request Control" button and wait for examinee to approve it - then you can have control of their screen and enter the password. Remember - never release the password to the examinee - this is confidential information and must be kept secure.

If student is taking TSIA2 - but they can't share their screen - sometimes this happens with Mac computers	The proctor will login to the Accuplacer platform and follow their progress in the Accuplacer Platform as the proctor. Make sure that you've already done the recording for the ID and room scan before this happens.

If the Proctor can't get control of the examinee's screen - TSIA2 testing only.	The proctor can also activate the exam and not request control if the exam is TSIA2 - The proctor will login to the Accuplacer Platform and then approve the request to activate the exam.
	Have the examinee restart their computer and then rejoin the meeting - making sure that the join through the Microsoft Teams App - not the Browser. There could be some background programs running that prohibit Microsoft Teams to work properly. That is the reason we ask for the student to restart their computer - to clear everything. Or if a student is using a Mac book - they can try changing their settings -
If you can't hear the examinee in Teams - but they can hear you.	In the Teams Application: Have them click on the ... More area / Click on Settings / Device Settings - to make sure that their microphone is on.


	How do I test if my Microsoft Teams microphone is working?
	To make a test call, slect your profile picture at the top of Microsoft Teams, then Settings>Devices. Choose Make a test call - under Audio devices. In a test call, you'll see how your mic, speaker, and camera are working.

How can a student get a copy of their TSIA2 score report - Official / unofficial?	This is the recommended and most efficient way to request your TSIA score report whether it be official or non-official.

	For an official copy to be sent to another institution - go to https://studentportal.accuplacer.org/?SFMC_cid=EM106580-&rid=47691937#/studentisr (you will need to know the following information you used when you took the TSI: student ID number, your name, date of birth, and name of institution where you tested. This information must match exactly to the way you entered it while testing - otherwise, you will not be able to use this option.) to view your TSIA Score Report - after you receive the e-mail with your score report - click on "Share Score Report" to select up to 3 institutions to directly e-mail your Individual Score Report (ISR) to an institution - this will be considered "official".

	Note if the individual tested with CBC - whether they tested with a TRIO program at their high school or at a CBC Test Center, they need to select - CBC as the institution when they are submitting their request for a copy of the report.

Be aware of the following: (As of 7/1/20 - Erica is looking into a way to have a guest login code - but she and Microsoft Teams programmer is working on this.)	People remotely proctored through Teams App - must be able to login to their Cougar Den account. The same login credentials will be needed for student to login to Teams App so that they can be remotely tested.
Examinees may only test on a desktop or laptop computer that has a web camera and microphone.	Tablets, Chromebooks, Surfaces, and cell phones are not allowed.

TSIA2 Pre-Assessment Activity - must be taken and sent to CBC Test Center - before examinee is allowed to test.	If examinee has problems taking the Pre-Assessment Activity Practice tests - it may be their browser. Safari doesn't seem to work well, but Google Chrome does work. Also - the student needs to make sure that the Pop-Up Blocker is turned OFF - for the PAA to work properly and allow them to do the practice exams.
If a student starts with Examity - but gets kicked out - they can test in Person with a CBC site - the proctor will need to enter their username and password into the system on the student's computer, then click on Administer test - Manage test session - then find the student's information and click on the Action button and resume the test.
