Goodwill Industries of South Texas and Coastal Bend College (CBC) have partnered to expand access to high-quality workforce training that leads to college-recognized credentials in high-demand fields. Through this partnership, eligible Goodwill participants can earn Continuing Education (CE) college credit and Occupational Skills Awards (OSAs) issued by Coastal Bend College, credentials that are recorded on an official college transcript.

This collaboration bridges the gap between job training and higher education, providing participants with portable credentials that support employment, career advancement, and continued learning.

What This Partnership Offers
✔ Industry-Aligned Workforce Training
Participants complete Goodwill’s workforce training programs designed to build practical, job-ready skills aligned with regional employer needs.
✔ College-Transcripted Credentials
Through Coastal Bend College, eligible participants earn:
· Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
· Certificates of Completion
· Occupational Skills Awards (OSAs) for select programs
These credentials are recorded on an official CBC transcript, providing formal academic recognition of workforce training.

An Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is a short-term college credential recognized by the State of Texas and aligned with workforce needs. OSAs:

Who Can Participate?
This opportunity is available to individuals enrolled in eligible Goodwill training programs who choose to register for continuing education credit through Coastal Bend College. Registration is optional but required to earn college credit or credentials.

· Academic support resources available to continuing education students
