Mission
To serve as the primary communication bridge between presidential cabinet decisions and institutional leadership, ensuring consistent information flow, aligned implementation, and coordinated execution of institutional priorities across all divisions.
Membership Structure
The Institutional Leadership Council (ILC) is composed of administrative staff and upper-level management appointed by division heads or designated by the College President. Membership is intended to represent key operational areas of the institution to support communication, collaboration, and coordinated implementation of institutional priorities.
- Deans
- Directors
- Department leads and program managers or coordinators
- Academic coordinators
- Faculty Senate officers
Members serve as representatives of their respective divisions and are responsible for communicating relevant updates, participating in discussions, and supporting cross-divisional collaboration across the college.
Cabinet members and the President may attend meetings as ex-officio participants when appropriate.
Meeting Schedule
The Institutional Leadership Council (ILC) meets on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise rescheduled due to institutional priorities or holidays.
Meeting agendas are distributed to members at least three business days prior to each meeting. A summary of meeting outcomes is recorded and shared with appropriate institutional stakeholders to support transparency and communication across the college.
Members may submit agenda items to the Council Chair in advance of scheduled meetings for consideration.
Governance and Leadership
The Institutional Leadership Council (ILC) is chaired by a member appointed by the College President. The Chair is responsible for coordinating meetings, developing meeting agendas, and facilitating discussions that support institutional communication and collaboration.
The Chair may appoint a Vice Chair when appropriate to assist with meeting coordination and to support continuity of leadership when the Chair is unavailable.
Administrative support for the Council is provided through the Office of the President or a designated representative. This support includes meeting coordination, distribution of agendas, and documentation of meeting summaries.
The ILC operates as an advisory body to the President, providing recommendations and facilitating communication across divisions to support institutional priorities and effective operations.
