BEEVILLE, TX — Coastal Bend College’s Back to School Bash in Beeville welcomed an incredible turnout, with more than 400 backpacks and school supplies distributed to students of all ages.
Families enjoyed food from the Trojan Express and visited resource tables hosted by Joe Barnhart Bee County Library, Texas Health and Human Services (Beeville WIC Clinic), and NSCL Home Health.
CBC thanks Cindy and Bernie Seger for donating clear backpacks, and Telemundo Victoria and Victoria Television Group for their generous support and event coverage. The Bee County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Randy Aguirre, also attended, helping create a safe, welcoming space for all.
“We had an amazing turnout, and really the larger part of the event and the focus was to invest in our community early on—for our students—to make sure we’re giving them the foundation to start their educational career and that they’re ready for that as well,” said Dr. Zachary Z. Suarez, President of Coastal Bend College.
CBC also extends special thanks to the City of Beeville for its partnership in supporting students and families as they prepare for the school year. Events like this reflect the power of community and the importance of education across the region.
