Coastal Bend College is proud to once again be part of Teen Takeover 2025, marking its second year of participation in this fun and educational community event. The program will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 1–4 p.m. at Richard Milburn Academy (RMA) Corpus Christi Public School, 3512 S Staples St, Corpus Christi, TX 78411-2538.

Hosted in partnership with the VolunTexas Volunteer Program and RMA Corpus Christi Public School, Teen Takeover is made possible thanks to the generous support of community sponsors. Together, these partners are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and empowering space for teens and their families.

Come out for a FREE afternoon of snacks, games, and interactive activities designed especially for teens and their families. This year’s Teen Takeover will be more interactive, more educational, and more action-packed—creating a day filled with learning and fun for the whole community.

Attendees can enjoy movie-themed snacks, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and an opportunity to ask questions about jobs, banking, volunteerism, and more. Themed Pull Back the Curtain and Let the Show Begin, the event also features a movie costume contest—dress as your favorite character for the chance to win even more prizes.

Highlights include:

  • Interactive Activities: Coastal Bend College will host its own interactive lab to engage students and families with hands-on learning opportunities.

  • Financial Literacy: RBFCU will present sessions on banking, credit scores, and financial wellness.

  • VolunTexas Goodie Bags: The first 100 teens to check in will receive a free goodie bag and scavenger hunt map.

  • YouthQuake Market: Vendors will showcase and sell unique products.

"These community events are becoming extremely valuable as our world is changing.  Our role as professionals in the community is to bring diversity and education through the power of interaction.  That “interaction” might include the form of communication, hands-on activities and fun!  Our objective is to bring the multi-generations together for one free community event that allows teens to be teens.  As companies, nonprofits and the community come together, we strive and thrive on providing education, resources, snacks, games, and a foundation for their success and ours."

The event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend and take part in a great day of learning, fun, and community. For more information, visit: https://www.facebook.com/share/1CUH4UX3Mt/
