Our Mission
The Office of Residence Life promotes a safe and comfortable living environment for CBC students. We offer students the opportunity to expand their learning experience in a community setting that allows students to interact with other student residents. We strive to offer positive social interactions and pathways to success. Students share responsibility with the Res Life staff to promote an inclusive, respectful environment, with a focus on wellness and student success.

Coastal Bend College would like to be your home away from home. We hope you will find that living on campus is a special part of your total college experience and that it plays an important part in your personal growth. Our primary goal is to provide you with a safe and healthy place to live. We believe doing so will help you succeed in reaching your personal and academic goals.
Spring applications are available on October 1st for new residents and the Housing Contract is only for that term.
Summer housing applications are only for the summer term and will be available in the Housing Portal on April 1st.
To live in on campus housing, students must be 17 years of age at move-in and be enrolled full time for their program. All Benton Hall residents are required to take a meal plan.
To complete a housing application, you must be accepted to Coastal Bend College and have received your college credentials (CBC email and ID Number).
You will need to log into the CBC Housing Portal.
Once in the Portal, you will need to choose the application from the left hand menu for the term you are requesting housing. Please complete the application in full, including all profile questions.
Once you have completed an application you can choose specific roommates (and suitemates for Benton Hall). To choose your roommates/suitemates, you do so by selecting “Roommate Groups” on the left side menu and then create group. You will then need to invite your roommate/suitemate choices by inserting their CBC emails. PLEASE NOTE: To create a roommate group, all individuals need to complete their housing application. After inserting the emails, click “Invite your roommates” and the system will send them an email to accept. They must accept to be in the roommate group. You will know they accepted when a green checkmark appears next to their name.
