Coastal Bend College Spring 2026 Commencement Information

Graduates from the Alice, Beeville, Kingsville, and Pleasanton sites will participate in the Spring 2026 Commencement Exercises at the Peter S. Marecek Physical Fitness Center in Beeville on:

  • Thursday, May 14, 2026 – 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 15, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Note: You may only participate in commencement if you marked “Yes” to the question, “Do you plan to participate in the graduation ceremony?”

Commencement Guest Seating

Doors will open one hour before each ceremony. CBC uses a guest ticketing system. Each student will be allowed four guest tickets. Ticketing information will be sent to students via their CBC email. Children age 4 and under do not require a ticket.

Q: When is graduation?

Spring commencement ceremonies will take place on:

  • Thursday, May 14, 2026 – 2:00 p.m.

Q: Where will the commencement ceremonies take place?

Commencement ceremonies for all CBC locations will take place at CBC Beeville, located at 3800 Charco Road. All ceremonies will be held inside the Peter S. Marecek Physical Fitness Center (Gym).

Q: Is there a graduation for each CBC location?

No. CBC conducts all commencement ceremonies for graduates at the Beeville location.

Q: What time should graduates arrive for the commencement ceremony?

  • May 14, 2026 (2:00 p.m. ceremony): Arrive at 12:30 p.m. in the Gertrude B. Jones Auditorium
  • May 15, 2026 (10:00 a.m. ceremony): Arrive at 8:30 a.m. in the Gertrude B. Jones Auditorium
  • May 15, 2026 (2:00 p.m. ceremony): Arrive at 12:30 p.m. in the Gertrude B. Jones Auditorium

Q: What time do the doors open for graduation?

Doors open one hour before each ceremony. Doors will be locked 15 minutes before the ceremony begins, or earlier if capacity is reached, as determined by the Director of Public Safety. Once doors are locked, no one will be allowed to enter.

Q: What am I allowed to bring to graduation if I am a graduate?

Please do not bring bags or purses to graduation, as there will not be a designated secure area for personal belongings.

Q: Who is allowed to come to graduation?

CBC uses a guest ticketing system. Each student will receive four guest tickets. More information will be sent via CBC email to potential graduates.

Q: Where do I purchase my cap and gown?

Caps and gowns may be purchased through the CBC Bookstore. Contact the bookstore at 361-354-2290 for more information. All graduates must wear a black cap and gown or they may not be permitted to participate in commencement ceremonies.

Q: What should graduates wear under their cap and gown?

Students should wear their “Sunday best” under their cap and gown.

Q: What hashtag should I use for graduation?

Graduates should use the official class hashtag #CBCGrad26. You are also encouraged to use the College’s official hashtag #CBCRocks.
